The Scholars
Each year, Truro Cathedral Choir has six Choral Scholars. These are pre or post university students who are looking for a gap year experience and also further training in choral singing with a world-renowned choir. The Scholars usually sing together as a close harmony group and have gained a reputation for fun, light hearted music as well as more serious male voice works.
2013: The Scholars, Tom Lilburn and Paul Ethan Bright (countertenors), Ranald McCusker and Tom Loyn (tenors), Nick Beever (baritone) and Charlie Murray (bass), took part in the Cornwall International MVC Festeival.

I don’t know if this site is still being updated, but More Harmony Women’s Barbershop Chorus would love to be included, if so. We were formed in 2010 by friends Pauline Gobbitt (former headteacher at St Tudy School) and Catherine Hudson, after recognising the need for a close-harmony women’s a cappella group in North Cornwall. Now directed by MD Lesley Harris, we rehearse every Thursday night at Wadebridge Ambulance Hall (7:15-9:30pm) and we’re open to all woman aged 16+ who love to sing.
