1976: Rame Peninsula Male Voice Choir formed after a chance remark by The Rising Sun’s landlord.
Initially 14-strong, the Rame choir grew to almost 50 within 10 years, quickly establishing a reputation for charity fund-raising.
Initially rehearsals took place in Kingsand Scout hut, then the Institute – the village’s famous clock tower – then the Community Hall.
1983: Took part in the 1,000 Voice Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

2018: Nomination by its community for the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service.
The Choir has sung with the Royal Marines, Russian Army choir and orchestra, and in France, Germany, Holland, Spain, and Ireland.
