1983: The Cornish Federation of Male Voice Choirs was formed.
Its formation was inspired by the 1983 massed concert of Cornish male voice choirs at the Royal Albert Hall.
Its objectives:
To organise concerts and recitals
To encourage composers and arrangers
To produce modern arrangements for the furtherance of male voice music
To support such charitable institutions as the Federation decides
The Federation works closely with the Cornish International Festival of Male Choral singing.

Activities:
The Federation has organised several massed concerts at the Royal Albert Hall.
1992: The Federation staged a Songs of Praise broadcast for BBC Television from Truro Cathedral.
2008 – (25th Anniversary year): The Federation staged a Songs of Praise broadcast for BBC Television from Truro Cathedral.
The ‘President’s Plate Award’ is awarded annually to the member choir who presents the most successful application about its work within the wider community.
Synchronised concerts have been organised in aid of charities. These are arranged to take place at different venues in the County.
Composers’ competitions, with classes open and novice, have been arranged, resulting in winning pieces being performed at prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall.
Workshop weekends for choral conducting and voice production.
Many member choirs work regularly in singing workshops and concerts with children and young people from local schools.
