1983: Took part in the 1,000 Voice Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

1988: Marion James, Musical Director. (1988 prog)

1988: Gerald Verran, Accompanist. (1988 prog)

2006: Reduced membership led to a decision to combine with Hayle MVC.

 

 

Hayle Male Voice Choir

February 1978: Hayle Male Voice Choir formation date.

Formation instigated by Stuart Harris, Mayor of Hayle. (Hayle Heritage Centre)

Seventeen founder mmbers. (Hayle Heritage Centre)

Edward Tanner, Musical Director. (Hayle Heritage Centre)

July 1978: First public performance – in Phillack Church. (Hayle Heritage Centre)

Membership grew to 40. (Hayle Heritage Centre)

Took part in various competitions and sang in concerts across Britain.

1983: Took part in the 1,000 Voice Concert at the Royal Albert Hall.

2006: Reduced membership led to a decision to combine with Praze MVC. (Hayle Heritage Centre)

 

Praze Hayle Male Voice Choir

2006: Praze Hayle Male Voice Choir formed by an amalgamation of Praze and Hayle Male Voice Choirs.

2011: Ann Birch, Musical Director at the Cornwall International MVC Festival.

2011: Margaret Bilkey and Una Skellington, Accompanists at the Cornwall International MVC Festival.

2013: Brian Jay, Musical Director at the Cornwall International MVC Festival.

2013: Norman Bunney, Accompanists at the Cornwall International MVC Festival.

2018: The Cornishman reported that Praze Hayle Male Choir could disband unless new musical director comes forward.

6th August 2019: Praze Hayle Male Choir disbanded. (Hayle Heritage Centre)
