The choir was resurrected after 28 years in April 1981 when a public meeting was held and Mr Ivan Kessell was appointed as musical director with Margaret Hocking as accompanist.

Al Hodge was an internationally known guitarist, singer, and composer. His music remains with us and his legacy of rock music in Cornwall continues to grow. The first “Alstock” festival was held at Bodmin Footbal Ground in 2007 and has since become the highlight of the Cornish rock band calendar.
The Bodmin Celtic Pipe Band formed in 1974 by Pipe Major Bill McColl with Eric Watts on bass drum leading the drum core. Their repertoire mixed popular Scottish pipe band marches, strathspeys reels and jigs with traditional Cornish tunes arranged for the bagpipes by Bill McColl.
