This piece is inspired by the Tamar River which rises a few miles inland from Morwenstow on the North Cornish coast and weaves it way 61 miles to south coast and the sea, marking the Cornish border.

The Trevince March was played at Tea Treats, a popular entertainment in Cornwall during the nineteenth century and well into the twentieth.
The Falmouth Polka (Polka Aberfala in Cornish) was played as a march for Cornish Tea Treats.
