The Bolingey version of ‘While Shepherds’ is on the Christmas CD of The Perraners called ‘A Seagull in a Pear Tree’ as taught to them by their Musical Director, Ian Marshall. The Perraners are a community choir formed after a Singing Workshop led by Ian Marshall at Lowender Peran in 1999.
There is much more about the background to the Bolingey tune in the Cornish carol book by Hilary Coleman and Sally Burley called ‘Hark’.
Thanks Karin
