In 2014 the Cornish Dance Society and Lowender Peran collaborated to present ‘Kan Rag Dons’. The project teamed Cornish dance groups with local singers/choirs who had not worked together before, with the aim of producing a showcase celebrating the tradition of singing for dancing. With Cornish material providing a creative catalyst, the project brought together over 200 people from a range of different backgrounds.

 

The resulting concert was a fascinating insight into the dynamic between community groups and their approach to bringing this project to life.
