1907: The annual demonstration of the Goonown Band of Hope took place on Whit Monday. Headed by the Trevince Band, the members paraded the streets, and afterwards partook of tea in the open. (23 May 1907 – West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser)
1907: Sunday school tea treat took place on Saturday. The teachers and scholars perambulated the district, headed by the Trevince Brass Band, and returning to the field, were given cake and tea. (18 July 1907 – Cornishman)
