1875: The most successful anniversary ever held in this place. Some first rate music was rendered by the St Teath Brass Band, conducted by Mr W Bone, during the afternoon. (29 May 1875 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
Mr Bate, St Teath Brass Band MD.
1888: We must not forget to congratulate the members of St Teath Band on securing the services of such a splendid musician as Mr Bate for bandmaster. Under his able conductorship he has brought the band to a remarkable state efficiency, hence the sweet strains and frequent applause which greeted the selection of music performed by these promising amateurs. 1890: St Teath Band of Hope was held on Wednesday. The children after marching through the village, headed by the St Teath Brass Band, partook of tea. (21 August 1890 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1891: Subsequently the children and teachers, headed by the St Teath Brass Band, paraded the streets, and proceeded to Port Gaverne, where an excellent tea was provided. (2 July 1891 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)

1897: A public tea was laid on the vicarage lawn, and sports and games were carried out. St Teath Brass Band rendered good programme, under the leadership of Mr T Tremaine. (29 July 1897 – West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser)
1899: Indeed, at St Teath the villagers had provided a Brass Band with which emphasise their enthusiasm. (20 June 1889 – West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser)
