Sithney is a village and civil parish in west Cornwall, north of Porthleven
????: Sithney Fife and Drum Band formed.
1887: It was reported that Sithney Brass Band was now developed from the Fife and Drum Band and played at Queen Victoria’s Jubilee celebrations in Helston and on Stithians Feast Day. (Cornishman 7th July 1887)
1887: Bands Employed in the Helston District. Sithney and Helston bands will be employed in Helston the Friendly societies. (16 June 1887 – Cornishman)
1887: The Bible Christians Lowertown had their annual treat on Monday. The procession was formed and, headed by the Sithney Brass Band, perambulated the village and then adjourned to a field kindly lent by Mr William Roberts. (14 July 1887 – The Cornish Telegraph)

1887: The Band of St Sithney are to be congratulated on their numerous successes this season. The band visited no less than fourteen places and on occasion gave great satisfaction. (15 September 1887 – Cornishman)
1888: Sithney Brass Band was in attendance, and played at intervals selections of music manner which reflects great credit on the leader, Mr John Dunstan. (5 January 1888 – The Cornish Telegraph)
1888:On Saturday evening the Sithney Brass Band, under the leadership of Mr J Dunstan, bandmaster, perambulated the village of Crown Town for the first time this season, attired in their new uniforms. After playing selection they marched to Praze. (7 June 1888 – The Cornish Telegraph)
1888: Active as Sithney Red Jacket Brass Band and consisting of scholars of the Wesleyan Sunday School. (John Brush)
1925: On Thursday evening a musical service was given in the Hayle U.M.C. the Sithney Pioneer Band, under the direction of Mr Treloar. (21 October 1925 – Cornishman)
