1887: Jubilee Festivities in Cornwall. Led by the Pool Brass Band, the procession perambulated the principal streets and proceeded to two fields kindly lent by Mr. Hugoe. (1 July 1887 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1888: Tea-treat Roscroggun U.M. Sunday School was held when a very enjoyable time was spent. Pool Brass Band was in attendance, and gave great satisfaction. (30 June 1893 – Cornubian and Redruth Times)

1891: A procession was formed at the Market house and paraded the principal streets. Redruth Volunteer, Brea, Pool, and Illogan Bands were in attendance. The weather being extraordinarily fine, thousands of people congregated the streets. (16 July 1891 – The Cornish Telegraph)
