Linkinhorne is a civil parish and village approximately four miles northwest of Callington and seven miles south of Launceston

1864: During the afternoon a procession, headed by the Linkinhorne Brass Band, traversed the main thoroughfares the parish. (6 August 1864 – Launceston Weekly News, and Cornwall & Devon Advertiser)
Presumably Linkinhorne Brass Band didanded.
1887/88: Linkinhorne Parish Band re-formed. (John Brush)
1890: Linkinhorne Parish Band fully kitted out with uniforms – eleven players plus bass and side drums. (John Brush)
1893: Headed by the North hill and Linkinhorne Brass Band. (17 June 1893 – Cornish & Devon Post)
1897: Headed by the Linkinhorne Brass Band. (25 June 1897 – Western Morning News)
1902 or earlier to 1921 probably: J Doney, Linkinhorne Brass Band MD. (John Brush)
1904: The Linkinhorne Brass Band, under Mr J Doney, rendered pleasing selections during the day. (25 June 1904 – Cornish & Devon Post Launceston)
1908: We are pleased to be able to state that Mr John Doney, of Cheesewring (bandmaster) is slowly recovering from a severe attack of pneumonia with which he has been laid up for a fortnight. We hope to see him about again shortly, and taking his accustomed place as bandmaster o! Linkinhorne brass band which has been pretty busy this past week or two.
