Gwennap is a village and civil parish about five miles southeast of Redruth

1889: The Gwennap Brass and String Band, assisted the members of the church choir, gave a capital concert. (21 February 1889 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1889: During the evening the Gwennap Band, consisting of over 20 performers, under the direction of the Rev H Greenway, performed some beautiful and difficult music. (RCG 30th May 1889)
1889: The Gwennap Band, under the direction of the Rev H Greenway played various selections during the evening. (RCG 13th June 1889)
1891: The members of the Gwennap Instrumental Band had their annual supper in Churchtown School-room. (4 June 1891 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1891: The Gwennap Band, under the direction of Canon Rogers. (RCG 27th August 1891)
1893: Gwennap Band played at a concert at Gwennap under Canon Rogers. (RCG 4th May 1893)
1939: Death of Mr J T Williams who had been a member of the old Gwennap Military Band. (West Briton and Cornwall Advertiser 26th October 1939)
1969 circa: Gwennap Band re-formed at about the same time that Truro City Band disbanded.
1969 to 1975: Rex Little, Gwennap Band MD. (John Brush)
1971: Gwennap Band contesting under C Allan. (Contest archive)
1975: Gwennap Band moved to a new band room in Truro and became Truro Band.
