1875 June: Burrows Band at Tuckingmill. (RCG 19th June 1875)
1875 – 22nd July: “Burrows Brass Band at Carnkie (Illogan) Wesleyan Sunday School annual tea.
“There was an occurrence here. About six o’clock a fife and drum band came into the field and began to play (without asking whether they should or not) some merry tunes; the little fellows were, however, soon ordered to stop by the members of the school, as the music of the hired band was by far the most preferable. A further comment is most enlightening… ‘The band, although the 2nd cornet was unavoidably absent, gave satisfaction throughout the day’.” (John Brush)
“Another short-lived band, again probably put together by a few friends to either make a couple of bob or simply to help the entertainment.” (John Brush)
