A village in west Cornwall, approximately five miles (8 km) south of Redruth on the B3297 road. It is in the civil parish of St Gluvias
1876 July: Burras Brass Band at Illogan Highway for the Free Church Sunday School when they received this accolade: “The Burras Brass Band attended and well pleased the visitors with their exquisite rendering of numerous pieces of sacred music quite fitting to the occasion.”
