1904: Bodmin Brass Band led a children’s procession to Mount Folly and, once there, they created considerable noise. Bodmin County Court was in session and the judge sent a message telling the band to shut-up. The sight of the three plucky trombonists still decked in habits during the extract from Tchaikovsky’s Little Russian Symphony was received with good humour.”
