Sladesbridge is a small village near Wadebridge, about 1 km upstream of the confluence with the River Camel

1900: The relief of Mafeking. … enthusiasm spread even to shops, and in several cases windows were re-dressed, patriotic colours being made predominant. Sladesbridge Band in the evening paraded the streets, as did also a dozen cyclists on their decorated cycles. (24 May 1900 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1902: The main feature of the programme was selections by the Sladesbridge Band, which were most heartily applauded. (8 March 1902 – Cornish & Devon Post)
