Hayle is a small town, civil parish and cargo port in west Cornwall situated at the mouth of the Hayle River approximately seven miles northeast of Penzance We have made the assumption that John Brush’s reference to Foundry Brass Band relates to the Foundry Band in Hayle. Unknown
