Unfortunately, we have little information on this orchestra but perhaps you do and are prepared to share it.
What we do have comes from the late Barbara Seed of Par Old Cornwall Society.
Barbara referred to the book, My Story of the Tywardreath Orchestras, written by Sybil Harris and printed by the Old Cornwall movement (I believe).
“Sybil joined Tywardreath School in 1929 and, together with the Headmaster, started a school orchestra which later became a youth orchestra. They entered music competitions and made exchange visits with a youth orchestra in Germany. Some of the boys made music their career and were in various service bands. Sybil continued her interest in working with the youth/music and was awarded the Gorsedh Shield. She was also awarded the MBE in the Queen’s Birthday Honours list of 1989 for 60 years voluntary work for music in Cornwall.”
Perhaps you played in one of the orchestras led by Sybil, if so we would love to hear from you with any information or photographs which can be added to this article.
