Trip to Truro is a dance that originates from the dancing masters, in this case “24 Country Dances for 1765” by Johnson, page 67. Its early provenance in Cornwall as a dance is not known but a connection or tribute is assumed.

Bolingey Furry danced by Tan Ha Dowr for COrnwall Heritage Trust’s COrnish DAnce in Schools project. Bolingey is a small village on the outskirts of Perranporth. This furry dance was written in 1994 by Laura White, one of the group members, to commemorate the village and its annual fair. The

The piper on the top of St Austell church tower serenades the streets of St Austell. . We know little about the carving of the piper except that it presumably dates to the building of the church in 1500 making it one of the oldest depictions of bagpipes in Cornwall.
The Clay Country is rich in stories and folk traditions together with the music, songs and dances that go with them.
