The Cornwall March was written by composed by James Oswald (1719 – 1769) a Scottish Baroque composer. He was born in Crail, Fife and worked as a musician and dancing master in Dunfermline. He moved to London in 1741 and set up his own publishing company from his “Musick Shop” in St Martins Lane, London. The Cornwall March was included in a publication called “55 Marches for the Militia”, one of many collections of airs, marches , tattoos, and songs that he wrote and published.
