1978: Written for the West of England Bandsmen’s Festival (Class A). It was dedicated to his father, T Richards of St Minver, former Bandmaster and lifelong member of the Cornish Brass Band Movement.

 

Used as a contest test piece including:

1988: Cornwall Brass Band Association Contest (Second Section)

2004: West of England Bandsmen’s Festival (Class C)
