Cury is a civil parish and village four miles south of Helston on The Lizard peninsula

1849: The Sunday scholars, accompanied by the Cury Band, were taken to Kynance. (RCG 11th May 1849)
1850: Cury Brass Band was engaged for the occasion. (5 July 1850 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1870: The band of the 7th D.C. rifles and the Cury fife band at Gunwalloe Church bazaar in aid of the restoration of this well-known sea-side church. (RCG 16th July 1870)
