1871: Dinner over, the secretary read a very satisfactory annual report. The Rilla Mill Brass Band was in attendance. (1 July 1871 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1871: Ray of sunshine, and a change of wind dispelled the gloom and gave a most delightful afternoon. Preceded by the Rilla Mill Brass Band, and with the Pensilva Fife Band midway, the long procession with banners perambulated the village, and then adjourned. (8 July 1871 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
