1886: Devoran Brass Band at a Forestry event at Perranarworthal. (27 August 1886 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1887: Devoran Brass Band played during a church service celebrating Queen Victoria’s Jubilee, a type of engagement that was not usually entrusted to a Cornish brass band of that time. The reason could well be because they were, at that time, one of the leading bands in Cornwall. (John Brush)
