Crantock is a coastal civil parish and a village approximately two miles southwest of Newquay

1886: Crantock Red Coat Independent Brass Band… (22 October 1886 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1887: After meeting at the school they perambulated the district headed by the Crantock Brass Band. (17 June 1887 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
1890: Crantock Independent Band played at intervals. (RCG 7th August 1890)
1891: “Oddfellows’ Funeral at Crantock. The funeral of Mr. Samuel Richards took place on Sunday at Crantock. The deceased having been a member of the Newquay Lodge of Oddfellows, the brethren of that branch of the order assembled at the Wesleyan Schoolroom, and proceeded to the late residence of the deceased, and subsequently joined in the funeral procession to the churchyard where the body was interred, the service being conducted by the vicar. The Crantock Brass Band, of which deceased was a member, also attended and played the Dead March in Saul. …” (29 January 1891 – Royal Cornwall Gazette)
